Half as much…
A Poem by Coyote Poetry
I found a large book of poetry in my father’s office. He passed on last December 2021. No-one knows who wrote the poetry. I found out his wife wrote down the words of real songs. He would sing them.”If you love me half as I love you…
You wouldn’t worry me half as much as you do.
You’re nice to me when there’s no-one else around,
you only built me up to let me down.
If you miss me half as much as I miss you.
You wouldn’t stay away as much as you do.
I know that I would never be this blue,
if you loved me half as much as I love you.

And of course, You Know, I Have Spilled Some Virtual Ink On Both Hanks….
Sorry,
Just cannot find them at present.
Suppose you’ll just have to take my word on this….

I will Lance. I saw Hank William Jr. three times in Austin, Texas in the middle nineties. He played for four hours.
