The haunting echoes and dangerous dreams. And an amazing song.

The haunting echoes and the dangerous dreams.

(April is poetry month. New poetry number twenty-two.)

1- I told the morning, yesterday is gone and today is here.

I go to my garden and I remember my grandfather’s words.

Johnnie, you did well. You traveled and you had lived well.

One day, you will need the memories.

I sit in my yard with my dog Sergeant, and the haunting echoes of yesterday are telling me.

One more day Johnnie. You are not done yet.

Live some more, travel some more, love some more.

My garden is starting to grow. Tulips are already standing tall.

Wildflowers, roses and sunflower plants are growing strong in the soil.

I told my grandchildren. Life can be good.

Be kind to the people near, respect nature and do not pollute your world with hate.

Yesterday is gone and I will try to make today. My best day.

2- Dangerous dreams, I do have.

In my dreams, I find old friends, I fall into old memories.

I dream I won more battles than I lost,

I dream love was always kind and I was never angry.

Sometimes I fight old wars and sometimes I talk to good friend lost to war.

My friends are telling me. Johnnie, my friend.

You are alive, you must live for both of us.

Tell my children. I love and miss them.

I am watching them and I am always near.

In dangerous dreams, I seek peace and calmness.

Today is a beautiful Spring Day and I am thankful for the memories.

I walk my dog Sergeant and I tell the sun.

Old friends, I am old now and I will join you at the Soldier table soon.

We will discuss our children, we will remember the good days.

I will thank you my friends, for being my friend.
