Johnnie need the Pacific ocean. The coastline.
The Coastline
A Poem by Coyote Poetry
In 1991, I drove from Michigan to California. I wrote this poem the day I saw the Ocean. ![]()
The Coastline..
I fell in love with her on a December morning.
I stopped my truck and I was star struck at her beauty.
Her power.
I walked quickly to her.
She was dancing on the shore.
Nothing could equal her beauty.
I gazed in wonder for hours sitting on the sand.
How could I have not escape to her beauty before this day?
Now I walk up and down the shore.
Watching the waves.
The beauty of her be-witched my heart.
I knew when I left her and
I would yearn for her sight.
Never be complete till she was dancing my feet again.
My love was the Pacific ocean.
The peaceful sea.
I wish to be with her today.

I followed the poets words and jumped in my car and went to the Pacific I found a place this poet often spoke of along the Pacific I did not know what I was going to find there was it stories of the poet or stories just for me it was both dear sweet Jonnie 🤗🤗🤗 I’m so grateful for you and all that you wrote that led me on my beautiful journey to the Pacific I got to spend a year just traveling up and down the coast watching our beautiful Earth and all of its components do what it is that it does when most of us aren’t even looking my heart became so big and swelled that it burst open right there in front of the Sun set over the ocean 🤗🤗🤗 I will never forget all the beauty and I still think of it often thank you dear sweet poet for sharing all of your beauty with us and inspiring us to go find our own beautiful things 🤗🤗🤗

Beautiful! I, too, love the Pacific Ocean. My childhood memories and time of healing took place along the calming waves of her beaches.
